Saratoga Springs students: Shelter the Homeless
and help rebuild the spiritual home of the church!
For the past few years, the parishes of Saratoga Springs, NY, (St. Clement, St. Peter, St. Therese, St. Joseph, & St. Paul) have had a First Communion prayer partnership with the children of the COAR Children's Village. This special bond between our two communities has been a wonderful blessing that expresses the unity of our church across the world.

As part of the program the parishes of Saratoga Springs host a Mercy Walk that raises funds and awareness around one of the Corporal Works of Mercy. This year, the focus is on Shelter the Homeless. They helped rebuild the spiritual shelter of the COAR Community and the Zaragoza community by raising funds to repair the Nuestra Señora del Pilar chapel.

Muy buen día:

It is a pleasure for me to write to you to express my most sincere gratitude to all of the faithful in Saratoga Springs Parish who collaborated in the donation of $2730.31. I would especially like to thank the children who perhaps with their great effort made this gift possible in helping to pay the construction expenses for the Parish Our Lady of the Pillar in Zaragoza , La Libertad.

We are very happy seeing that the construction our of church has brought together our communities. I want to tell you that we are working hard in the process of evangelizing and in the search for economic resources to wrap up the construction on the church. Currently, we want to buy more benches so that our brothers can sit down and be more comfortable during Holy Mass.

On Sunday, August 15 th , we will have the 4 th Corn Festival with the election and coronation of the Queen of the Corn Festival. Later on, God willing, I will send you pictures of the event.

Also, I would like to tell you all that we have already begun again the Catechism of those kids who will take their First communion and for the young people who will be confirmed. These Sacraments will be carried out in our Parish during Easter time. The kids and young people receive Catechism for almost a year.

I send you my best wishes and I thank you for your generosity.
