Housemother Training Fund

Why the goal of $20,000?

We are not quite sure, yet, how much increased expense we will incur this year and next. But these are the cost elements we are working from:

Housemothers are paid about $5,000/year
Ten housemothers = $50,000/year
Salary of a qualified trainer:
$10,000/year

The new child care laws mandate training and support for housemothers – yeah! We have started the training. We will probably need to hire more housemothers to better the ratio of child to housemother (or other residential care taker.) Please help us to hire and train and support the most important people to our mission to help vulnerable children – the housemothers.
