Our Voice
- Nelson Angel, 10th Grade
Among a people stained with blood,
Has emerged a voice of courage,
In order to help those who suffer from hunger
In order to struggle on behalf of those who suffer pain.
With your words of bravery,
With your words of love,
The silence has been broken
Of such great pain.
You proclaimed the truth
As a real prophet
From all that evil
Of which your people were subject to.
The day that they killed you
That day that they took away our voice,
The voice of our people
The voice of those without voice.
I give you thanks, Monsenor Romero
For having spoken for your people without fear,
For being a path in our lives
Of justice, hope and love.
